⎯⎯ An Online Art Gallery ⎯⎯
"I draw with a single breath of ink — and try not to interrupt it."
Each piece begins with a single dot. The pen does not leave the paper until the drawing dreams itself awake. Hover a frame to step closer.
Born in the foothills of Uzbekistan, Shaho began drawing on the inside of schoolbooks at the age of seven. He has not lifted the pen since — at least not in the way most people do.
His practice is rooted in the discipline of continuous line: the pen meets the paper, and the image must be born from that single, uninterrupted gesture. A whale, a tree, a memory of a sheep — each one a single thought, made visible.
The seventeen works in this room were drawn between November MMXXIII and February MMXXV, always between midnight and four.
Each piece is a single, unrepeatable breath of ink. Email us to reserve a work or arrange a private viewing.
